چکیده
In this study, proximate body composition, fillets fatty acid and sensory properties of Nile tilapia fed on oilseed meals with crude papain enzyme were determined. A control diet (D1) 300g/kg protein (CP) (2900Kcal/kg) was formulated using fishmeal (Rastrionaebola argentea) (FM) test diets by replacing 10% CP FM soybean meal (SBM) (D2), canola (CM) (D3) sunflower (SFM) (D4). One hundred one days feeding trial conducted in a 4x2 factorial design 4 (D1, D2, D3 D4) (0.06%) (0%) 720 fingerlings (7±3g). Fish twice daily at 5% their biomass 10am 4pm two equal meals. At the end trial, fish starved for 24 hrs weighed. sample ten representing average weight each replicated group used. The profiles determined MPA FT-NIR spectrometer. Organoleptic tests both fresh steamed carried out eight semi trained panellists 5-point hedonic scale. There increase (p<0.05) carcass composition all treatments. Fillets levels influenced (p<0.05). Palmitic (C16:0), linoleic (C18:2n-6) oleic (C18:1n-9) most abundant acids fillets. based recorded higher percentage (22.56) polyunsaturated (PUFA). significant difference among treatments general appearance. treated less preferred. It is recommended that more research be done effect farmed fish.

Behaviours Associated with Acoustic Communication in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)
BACKGROUND Sound production is widespread among fishes and accompanies many social interactions. The literature reports twenty-nine cichlid species known to produce sounds during aggressive and courtship displays, but the precise range in behavioural contexts is unclear. This study aims to describe the various Oreochromis niloticus behaviours that are associated with sound production in order t...

The aim of the investigation was to determine the changes in fatty acids profile and chemical quality indexes of Red Tilapia fillets during frozen storage at -18°C. The fish were filleted by hand. The prepared fillets were then placed to the polyamide pouches and stored at -18°C for 150 days. Fatty acid profile, sensory properties and chemical quality indices were determined for a five month pe...

متن کاملInfluence of Dietary Protein Deficiency on Amino Acid and Fatty Acid Composition in Tilapia, Oreochromis Niloticus, Fingerlings
The influence of dietary protein deficiency on the amino acid and fatty acid compositions of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fingerlings was studied. Two experimental diets (0.81% and 33.32% protein, dry matter) were prepared. The protein content of fish fed diet 1 (0.81% protein) decreased from 57.14% to 49.18% in eight weeks. Fish fed diet 2 (33.32% protein) had higher protein and amino acid ...

Fingerlings of Oreochromis niloticus collected in an artificial urban lake from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, were evaluated for natural infection with trematodes. Morphological taxonomic identification of four fluke species was performed in O. niloticus examined, and the total prevalence of metacercariae was 60.7% (37/61). Centrocestus formosanus, a heterophyid found in the gills, was ...
